THE TONTI CONNECTION - Part 1 from Have you ever wished for a true companion who is also a secret love? If your heart answers Yes! On February 14, 1955 this message highlighted the deep, mysterious longing I had felt all my life, but never understood. It was to be a test of my abiity to hold immaculate a concept of the highest expression of the male principle of God in form. It demanded a razor's edge trust of the husband of my spirit whom I could neither see nor touch. It brought intimate and personal access to this Principle of creation. An active, invisible partner who added the mental and emotional power resident in this expression of the godhead. He could "walk in" to physical form to provide an important lesson or supply much needed help in some way. At such times the absolute trust I felt through eye contact and the feeling of unconditional love clearly identified him to me. So today I am speaking to Woman. Man's reach for such will be answered when he can accept Love's discipline as Woman leads the way. The Tonti Connection is open to every woman whose motive is of the highest good for all mankind. Open to the woman who has accepted her Soul's direction to fulfill her life's true purpose. You cannot find the treasure hidden in this land unless the heart can listen to the song of the surrounding mountains. Until you feel the flame of brilliant sunsets and warm openness of its people. Strangers smile at you on the street, step forward and open a door for you, giving of themselves with no thought of return. Perhaps it is because so many pulled up stakes, left jobs, families, friends -- came here to survive. It is a brave land, full of brave people. The mind expansion that takes place as we explore many avenues and approaches in our search for truth serves a useful purpose. It exercises our mental muscles. It stretches our limited thought patterns to prepare us for greater understanding. However, it is not without pitfalls. Without guidelines it can be a rocky road. And if we let ourselves be trapped in mental gymnastics, sooner or later we weaken our own intuitive power. Although truth never changes, perception does. The ability to recognize truth grows as understanding increases, but we need a compass to avoid confusing detours and dead-ends on our path to enlightenment. Such a compass is a practical application of any concept to the here and now of our lives. Truth is truth on any plane of action, and if the concept reflects divine law then it works, right where we are and under our present circumstances. It does more. It contributes to insight and an ability to meet difficult situations more wisely. It increases rather than saps our energy and creates a sense of well-being. If it does not do these things for us, it should be looked at long and hard no matter how high-sounding and mystical. The most important step we will ever take is to come up OVER fear as opposed to overcoming. To pass beyond the fear threshold through the power of spiritual attunement. It lasts. The second, by human or ego will alone, does not. We will meet the same challenge many times. The world has lived in fear for millennia. Fear is the High Priest of Mammon, and has been used by both religions and government to control people. Fear is the other powerful god that woos us. Real progress cannot be made until this false god is met and conquered within ourselves. And Fear wears many faces. If we doubt its power and sublety, we have only to monitor our own thoughts and actions for just one day. Unfortunately, in our search we may discover that sometimes we simply exchange one set of fears for another. Fear of the unknown, the idea of "evil" entities, obssession, and so on. If we cut through the mumbo-jumbo that usually accompanies the way such ideas are presented, we discover an interesting fact. That "evil" is actually l-i-v-e spelled backward. So any concept that creates or enables fear is a part of living backward. Let's take a few such fears out of their fancy packages and look at them. Do you suddenly find yourself creeping into bed at night with a nervous glance toward shadows in a corner of the room? Or do you feel jinxed, that "something" is out to get you? If so, you are hooked. You have enlarged your library of fear. You have been sucked into the fear camp. You know the result. Out the window goes the simple trust in God you may have been lucky enough to bring with you from childhood. In its place stands a whole new list of deities you must make constant obeisance to in order to survive. Exagerated? Be honest. Hard as it may be, this encounter with fear is a necessary step. Deeply ingrained in the human psyche is this paralyzing emotion. It must be dredged up and out. And wading through the evil entities routine is as good a method as any to let the Light start its unclogging work. In spite of it your stalwart soul will not be denied and you press on. You go deeper and suddenly you stumble over karma. And what a stumble it is, dear friends! For now you not only have to be afraid of what you cannot see, you also have to be scared of what you cannot remember! Spontaneity of thought and action flies out the door. Up to your ears settling past scores, now you discover you are surely adding to the list! Are we off the track when this occurs? Not really. Karma is an important rung on the ladder of enlightenment. It is necessary to understand cause and effect if we are ever to be responsible Co-Creators. When we finally accept the responsibility for our own thoughts and actions, understanding of Self deepens and taps the roots of real compassion. We use our energies toward solving our difficulties instead of frittering away energy in self-pity and blaming others. Karma can only exist in a world of duality: i.e. good/bad, right/wrong, man/woman. So this stepping stone on the ascension road is not the final word. We were never intended to be permanent residents on the karmic plateau. The moving finger has "writ" and we must go on, with the assurance that by accepting responsibility we can improve both our present and future lot. In a moving and beautifully channeled book titled The Golden Scripts a profound statement is made: "The only true evil is Ignorance." Think about it; there is great truth here for it is truly ignorance of divine law that creates the evils on any plane of existence. If you knew better, you wouldn't do it! If you really understood the sowing and reaping parable, you wouldn't do it! And so polarization comes front and center, and is indisolubly linked with another fact -- vibration. How can man overcome the sense of isolation, of separation he endures, both as an individual and as a nation? How can the gaps created by language and customs differences be bridged? How can hidden motives and selfish aims stand revealed at the conference tables of the world?
There is only one way --- by thought transference. When man communicates directly with man by means of thought pictures and feelings, the hidden is revealed. The subtle nuances of feeling and intention are understood. Idiomatic words and phrases, impossible to translate from one language to another, reveal their intention, and words cleverly designed to mask a negative intention are exposed. We spend billions of dollars defending ourselves against our fellowman and millions more on sophisticated communication devices. Yet, individually, understanding continues to weaken with each passing decade, and misunderstandings can reap a bitter harvest in both our personal lives and in the life of our nation. There is no way for man to understand man unless he first makes the effort to understand himself. He has forgotten the latent intuitive ability for thought communication that is possible to his inner self. The aura, that colorful glow surrounding our physical body, does not lie. To a trained clairvoyant, you are an open book. And to a competent telepath or clairaudient, your thoughts are what you are. They reveal your true feelings and attitudes. Remember, you already stand naked before your God as you must one day stand before your fellowman. In that day there will be peace on earth. The purpose of the Zen discipline is to unravel the human personality; to tear off the inhibiting, trained habit of thought and action and reveal the true self. This is the real nature before the cloak of mortality was added. This is the true identity.It is the tearing away of a veil that has been woven thick and heavy by exposure to opinions and training. And, in the rending, much must topple. Once students lived in a special seminary or school, but it is now being done in the very act of living in the market place; proof that it can be done for any who are ready to submit to Love's discipline and cleansing. And the Teacher is present in all. In some you have glimpsed the lover. In others the challenger, while still in others the great disciplinarian. Look well into the eyes of all and you will see your Real Self looking back at you. Using the instrument at hand to take you one step further in your struggle to overcome the limitations of duality; to attain the freedom that is totally without fear or doubt of the goodness of your Real Self and its power to guide absolutely, unobstructed by preset patterns of thought and habit. It will help to speed you on your way if you remember what has been said about the Teacher being present in all. Satori! the great breakthrough is always preceded by the period known as the Great Doubt. It is in this period that doubt is so magnified it renders one almost incapable of clear action or thought --- to the point of I can't seem to do anything right! Or, everything I do, or have done in the past, seems to be all wrong! This is the crash of all past intellectual concepts and opinions, for even understanding lies like a helpless infant before the Great Doubt. You understand nothing. You comprehend nothing. You seem to be at sixes and sevens each way you turn. Trust of the inner also seems absent, even here there is doubt. You are literally "at the end of the road." You seem to have lost the ability to function well, to laugh, to feel joy ---indeed to feel anything but fear and doubt and questioning. And the deepest doubt of all is turned inward toward yourself. It is some time during this period that the "flip" [breakthrough] occurs. The consciousness, having been undermined and torn down in all directions, does a complete reverse, and what is known as Satori takes place; the new birth, the new viewpoint, the beginning of the new life. The wonder and awe of childhood are restored, coupled with the wisdom of experience. And all is viewed from a totally different viewpoint. The fearful, helpless attitude of the past dies, and the newborn walks as a monarch, lord of the earth. Far from bringing immorality, this new attitude brings great self-discipline. But discipline from the center within. You choose from your inner direction, but never interfere with the choices of others. You meet the challenges hurled at you by returning deep within to seek inner prompting and wisdom. And when you find serenity there, what the Christian religion calls "knowing," you return to the outer challenges with quiet, renewed vigor and inner determination, unaffected by outer experiences. When you can meet the lover, the disciplinarian, and the challenger with complete spontaneity of action, totally absent of fear, literally responding to the inner prompting in a perfectly natural action, free from the limitation of self-consciousness, the battle is won. Satori is very, very near. It is coming to several of you in a very short time. Hence it is important that you understand the purpose of these experiences and discipline in your daily life. For you become a free-flowing instrument of Light, immediately responsive to the need of the one before you, capable of acting without any thought of self-consciousness. Rather, Love acts through you to give what is needed to others; a step toward their own enlightenment and awakening to their true identity. Each of you knows the Teacher you are now facing. Therefore, each of you can now be prepared to meet this with the sure knowledge that it is only your teacher, once more challenging you to assert your true reality, once and for all, that you might take the giant step into freedom and Love's service.
